In some situations, using poison baits may not be an option, either because it isn’t allowed, such as a food production facility, or because of customer preference. Motomco offers a variety of non-poisonous mechanical and glue traps that, when used correctly, effectively control rats & mice.
Tomcat Mouse Snap Traps: Place mouse snap traps perpendicular to walls or other objects. Mice move along walls and will attempt to run through the trap. This instinctual characteristic is what makes snap traps so effective. Clever mice may try to jump over traps. In that case, place two traps together. To enhance the effectiveness of mouse snap traps, bait with Tomcat Mouse Attractant Gel.
Tomcat Rat Snap Traps: Place rat snap traps perpendicular to walls or other objects. Because rats are neophobic (afraid of "new" things) they may initially be reluctant to run through the trap. Baiting the trap may help entice them into the trap. Tomcat’s Rat Snap Trap has a removable bait cup to allow baiting before the trap is set. The integrated "tie down" feature of the trap lets you affix it to rafters, poles, pipes and other hard to bait areas where rats travel.
Tomcat Glue Boards & Traps: Position traps along active rodent runways, such as along walls, under large kitchen appliances, in the false bottoms of cupboards, and other areas where rodents travel. Be sure to fit the glue trap flush against a wall where rodents will run over and stick to it. Tomcat Glue Traps are pre-baited with attractant. Do not bait glue traps, as oily substances, such as peanut butter, will make the traps less effective. After use, dispose of the trap and the captured rodent in the trash. Keep glue traps away from children and pets.
TIP: For maximum effectiveness, keep traps free of dust, debris and moisture. Water and dirt will compromise the glue’s holding power.
